VACANCY NOTICE

The Young Women’s Christian Association of Sri Lanka, a women-led organization based on Christian Faith and Values, with its Sri Lankan Office in Colombo 03 has the following vacancy.

Accounts Assistant — Female

Handle daily accounting & financial tasks with precision

Manage AR/AP and assist in budget preparation

Conduct regular financial reporting & analysis

Requirements

3-4 years proven experience in accounting or relevant field

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Proficiency in accounting software & MS Office

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

A good command of English and Sinhala, Tamil will be an added qualification. Computer literate. Preferably below 55 years.

Cashier cum Administrative Officer — Female

Managing all cash & cheque transactions with respective Stakeholders

Issuing receipts, refunds, and change due to relevant Stakeholders

Handling petty cash & updating petty cash register, cash verification at the end of the day

Maintaining proper documentation and relevant records of the daily transactions

Conducting all bank-related activities (deposits, cheque encashment, etc.)

Handing over documents to banks when required

Liaising with the Finance Department with regard to the above

Update cheques inward register, cash received register & banking register

Update cheques outward register and issue cheques prepared by Finance Department to suppliers

Timely payment of all utility bills (electricity, water, telecommunication, etc.)

Requirements

3-4 years proven experience in accounting or relevant field

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Proficiency in accounting software & MS Office

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

A good command of English and Sinhala, Tamil will be an added qualification. Computer literate. Preferably below 30 years.
